The Story Behind the Ink

Imagine if you were planning to get a family-themed tattoo — what would you choose?

Family members' names, birthdays, zodiac signs, or perhaps portraits? Or would you be open to letting me explore for more possibilities?

Samantha briefly described her family background, requesting a design that wasn't too direct, aiming to represent each family member with different elements.

The composition includes various elements representing each of Samantha's family members. The tree symbolizes her father, while the leaves represent her mother, acting as the nurturing guardian standing against the rain. As the pillars of the family, they are surrounded by the entire scene, with leaves and tree roots overlapping, as if holding hands.

The brother is the family's "sunshine," depicted as a sunny character. Samantha herself is represented by a flower, portraying her more introverted nature, being a protected member of the family. The water bottle symbolizes the helper, closely connected to Samantha and always caring for her.

"In the end, Samantha's family initially disapproved of her getting a tattoo, but after seeing the design, they unanimously embraced it — adding a different layer of meaning to the tattoo."

The Philosophy

紋身師以紋身連繫不同人的內心世界;而紋身擁有者則是以紋身連繫自己的內心世界。

The tattoo artist serves as a bridge, connecting the inner worlds of different people through ink. The tattoo wearer, in turn, uses their tattoo to connect with their own inner world.
